Patients of Dr. Gary Holt can choose to use YELLOW and/or PINK colored ties for their braces during October, and when they do, Dr. Holt will donate $1 per to patient cancer survivors! With proceeds donated to the Livestrong (yellow) and Susan G. Komen (pink) Foundations and local survivors, Holt is proud to offer his support through this fundraising effort in his Littleton Orthodontic practice. Holt takes the fight against cancer personally; having watched his mother beat breast cancer and currently witnessing a close friend in her valiant fight. “We are all connected to this cancer issue in some way or another. This is my way to help,” says Holt. As an avid cyclist and triathlete, Holt has admired Lance Armstrong’s efforts to beat the disease and stay healthy through riding, running and tri. October 2 is Livestrong Day, marking the anniversary of Armstrong’s cancer diagnosis. Livestrong.com has useful ideas for healthy living (One tip? Floss daily! Dr. Holt is sure to like that one.) Also into running? As part of the largest run/fitness walk series in the world, The Komen Denver Race for the Cure will be on October 3. Check out Komen.org for information. So take notice during the month of October for those with braces decorated in yellow and pink, and give a smile to survivors of cancer.

Cash for Candy for 2010
Its that time of year again where everybody gets all dressed up and collects TONS of candy. Dr. Holt would like to remind his patients that he does "Cash for Candy", that is bring in all the candy that you are not suppose to eat and Dr. Holt will buy it from you for $1 per pound. We recognize that is is a bummer not to be able to participate in all of the candy fun so instead go out and get something fun with the money you will get from turning in your candy. we will start collecting candy November 1st thru November 12th 2010. Lets see how many pounds of candy we can collect this year!
