Choosing an Orthodontist

When selecting an orthodontist, you should ask the following questions to ensure you are choosing a qualified specialist.

What are the doctor’s qualifications?

Following dental school, a certified orthodontic specialist receives an additional two to three years of extensive and specialized training in orthodontics. This enables them to offer professional, patient specific orthodontic care.

Dr. Holt is a certified orthodontic specialist.

Is Dr. Holt available when you need him?

Our office is open at various times Monday thru Friday to accommodate each patient’s needs. In the event of an emergency after office hours, please contact us through the answering service.

Are staff members certified?

In addition to being certified as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), orthodontic assistants can also work towards achieving an Orthodontic Dental Assistant Certification (ODA), by seeking additional training and passing a national board exam, indicating their knowledge of orthodontics.

Each member of our treatment staff is certified, and attends continuing education courses, seminars and conferences to stay knowledgeable of advancements in the field.

Does the orthodontist utilize the latest treatment methods and state-of-the-art technology?

Orthodontics is an evolving science with frequent developments in techniques, technology and treatment. New technology produces better results with fewer visits and shortened treatment times.

We utilize modern technology to ensure you receive comfortable, convenient and efficient treatment.
